- OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, November 28, 2007 - Kim Morgan has been named the new Director of Sales at the Waterford Marriott in Oklahoma City.
Kim Morgan lacks no experience when it comes to hospitality management and meeting planning, having worked in the
Oklahoma Hotel and Meeting Planning industry for over ten years. She started as a Meeting Planner at the University of Oklahoma, where she began her career and developed expertise in the field.
Kim has worked for both Westin and for Marriott in the past, and was actually the previous Director of Sales and Marketing for the Waterford
Oklahoma City Marriott hotel from 2005-2006. Morgan is excited to return to a hotel she is familiar with.
Morgan also has some major awards and recognitions under her belt. She won the 2005 "Hotel of the Year" award at the Waterford Marriott, as well as the 2005 "Market Excellence - Most Improved" award from Marriott. Only three of these awards are given annually, so she is proud to hold this coveted honor. Morgan has also received the recognition of being named the "Manager of the Quarter" and was nominated as one of the "Top 40 Under 40 Business Women in OKC."
Kim is married to her college sweetheart, who is finishing up his surgical residency at OUHSC. They have three children: a three year old son, and identical six month old twin daughters. Needless to say, Kim Morgan is a busy woman, known for seamlessly balancing all of her spinning plates.
