BROOKFIELD, CT, April 07, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Motomarathon Association today announced that the New England Motomarathon, the second event in its 2010 motorcycle sport-touring series, will embark from BMW/Ducati dealer Cliff's Cycle Revolution in Brookfield on May 13.

"This four-day endurance tour will wind through all six New England states," said Routemaster Daniel Monteiro. "We're looking forward to long and challenging days negotiating the best back-roads in the region - including the New Hampshire notches - and a scenic and historical experience through some of the oldest towns in the country."

Routes are kept secret until the night before each ride, and participants must complete a sequence of self-recorded check-points using digital cameras. Starting at 8:00 p.m. on, May 12th, Day One routes will be handed out to participants at Cliff's Cycle Revolution, and at 8:00 a.m. May 13th at the optional riders' meeting. Riders will leave Cliff's and arrive Thursday in Shelburne, NH, spending three nights and two days riding, checking in and out from the headquarters hotel, the Birch Bend Motolodge, which caters to motorcyclists. Riders will return to Brookfield on Day Four for an Awards Dinner at Cliff's.

"The Motomarathon format has struck a nerve with today's sport-touring and long-distance riders, and with our sponsors Ducati North America (bikes), Aerostich (clothing) and Wolfman (luggage)," said Motomarathon Association Founder John Metzger.

"The new Ducati Multistrada 1200 is a perfect fit for these events," said Michael Lock, CEO of Ducati North America. "We're proud to support the Motomarathon, and we're very excited to work with the promoters to elevate the highest form of sport-touring."
