New Fantasy Football Website Lets Players Crowdsource Their Picks

Want to be seen as a Fantasy Expert and need proof of your knowledge? RotoChatter.com's Free Picks contest tracks your results against other fantasy geeks to give you credibility

PITTSBURGH, PA, August 31, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fantasy football players who are fed up with the incorrect 'can't miss' predictions and costly Start-Sit blunders from so-called gurus now have a place to increase their level of fantasy trust and it's called RotoChatter.com.

Whether someone is a newbie or a fantasy football aficionado, they are always searching for the best online tools to help set their roster in order to win their weekly match-ups. RotoChatter.com provides something unique that no other fantasy site does: Proof.

"We don't just provide a fantasy football guide or mock draft listings," says Jeff Roth, President and founder of RotoChatter.com. "We give you free access to those who have demonstrated proof of fantasy knowledge."

RotoChatter.com gives all fantasy football players a chance to prove their fantasy acumen via a weekly Fantasy Picks Contest. Contest entrants will be presented 70-100 groupings of four similar NFL players and select which one of the four will score the most fantasy points (PPR scoring system) for that upcoming week. After the games are complete and scores tallied, user picks will be tracked for accuracy and users will be ranked based on their pick accuracy. To incentivize participation, the top overall users (total correct picks) at the end of the season will be eligible for prizes. RotoChatter.com will track, analyze and display all users' pick accuracies to find who the true experts are.

"Our site helps fantasy players on both ends of the spectrum," notes Roth. "Those looking for fantasy lineup help but also those who are trying to make a name for themselves and potentially start their own site/blog and just need some proof of their knowledge."

But it's not just about the prizes and the bragging rights. RotoChatter.com will leverage the power of social media by integrating Twitter for live chatting and messaging purposes for the sake of direct lineup assistance. Before and after NFL games, RotoChatter.com will provide its users an easy way to interact via Twitter in realtime about anything fantasy:

- Clickable Tabs with # phrases show all recent discussions related to that # on the site

- Use #rotochatter Tab to interact with RotoChatter users via Twitter (#rotochatter added to all tweets sent from RotoChatter.com's twitter portal)

- Leading up to the games, certain #phrases designated that will direct the users to specific interactions. (For example, #ppr will be used to discuss Point Per Reception (PPR) leagues or any discussion specific to PPR decisions.)

- During the games, hashtags specific to that game (ie. Pittsburgh @ Baltimore would have #pitvsbalnfl) will be added for discussion about those specific games.

In addition, the site integrates and lists live daily salary listings from Draftstreet.com next to each player in the pick's questions to help users see who the so-called experts believe will score the most fantasy points for that week.

RotoChatter.com is free for users.
