Located at Westchester County Airport, Performance Flight is the only Cirrus training center in Westchester, Rockland, and Fairfield, CT, and the closest to Manhattan.
Performance Flight will teach students on brand new 2007 model Cirrus Aircraft, the safest and most advanced plane available in its class. The fleet includes SR20-GTS's, SR22-GTS's, and an SR22-GTS Turbo. Also available is a 2007 Diamond Twinstar (serial #45) for those seeking to earn their multi-engine rating.
Performance Flight boasts one of the most sophisticated simulators available. The Cirrus-specific Frasca Flight Training Device features a real Cirrus Cockpit complete with dual controls, Garmin 430's, CAPS (Cirrus Airframe Parachute System), S-TEC 55X Autopilot, deicing, active circuit breakers, and much more. It's perfect for all pilots as well as companion training.
It is one of only two systems that have been certified by the FAA as a Level 1 Flight Training Device. "This level of certification allows you to substitute simulator hours for flying time and provides you with an opportunity to safely practice emergency procedures, such as deploying the parachute, or landing in high wind conditions," says Lewis Liebert, President & CEO of Performance Flight.
