LOS ANGELES, CA, November 07, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Celebrity Loop is proud to announce the expansion of the largest network of official celebrity web sites into the sports world with the InterSports Network (www.InterSportsNetwork.com) and launch the official site for Hockey Hall of Famer Bryan Trottier (www.OfficialBryanTrottier.com). Led by Celebrity Loop CEO Lin Milano and former NHL players and Team USA Olympians Peter and Chris Ferraro, InterSports is focused on bringing fans closer to the athletes they admire by developing online communities and social media campaigns for them while building and maintaining specially designed web sites.

InterSports is officially endorsed by the NHL and will be developing new sites for T. J. Oshie, the Ferraro Brothers, Matthew Barnaby, Phil Housley, Steve Webb, Willie O'Ree and Jim Dowd. The goal of InterSports is to not only maintain, but to expand the fan base of select athletes in new and innovative ways they have not yet taken advantage of online. InterSports wants to help these athletes share their inspiring stories and create a new channel of fans through online promotions, Internet placeholders, search engine optimization and merchandise.

While some athletes are overexposed and form bad reputations due to poor judgment, InterSports chooses to showcase those who are true heroes and role models by providing fans with a unique online experience that allows them to interact and get to know them on a more personal level through videos, chats, live events and much more. The InterSports Network Store also recently launched, featuring authentic sports memorabilia, game-used equipment, team clothing from leagues like the NHL and other player-autographed items at http://www.ISNStore.com.

Trottier is the first of many athletes to be featured in the InterSports Network, and he has become the ambassador for the new brand with his web site http://www.OfficialBryanTrottier.com.

"Working with (everybody) at InterSports is an exciting opportunity for me," Trottier said. "It opens up another world. I've been a quiet person with the media, I'm not as shy or private as I once was. To let people see a different side of Bryan Trottier, make myself more accessible to hockey fans, not just Islander or Penguins fans. It's global. It's stimulating and great for the fans and me. Hockey is a way of life. To share that, I can't thank InterSports enough."

As the largest online celebrity community, Celebrity Loop attracts in excess of 6 million unique visitors each and every month. About Lin Milano: Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Lin Milano is an entrepreneur for the new millennium. Lin launched her career as a fashion designer in the late seventies, only to see that quickly expand and evolve as an unexpected twist took her from the Big Apple to Hollywood. As a "stage mom" to a successful actress daughter, Lin received a crash course in the realities of show business and celebrity culture and had to adjust her life accordingly. Instead of hovering on set, Lin stepped out of the limelight and kept a quiet reign on things from behind the scenes, as a caring, but vigilant mother and career manager. Milano gathered a loyal following and reputation as one of the few people who endured in the fickle world of show business. Her career spanned two decades, during which her career savvy, personal strength, tenacity, and amazing energy placed her at the top of several corporations. She is a successful digital content producer, a sought-after Web mistress, and an Internet CEO.

About Bryan Trottier: One of the greatest all-around hockey players of all-time, Bryan "Trots" Trottier is probably most recognized for leading the New York Islanders to four straight Stanley Cup titles from 1980-83. In fact, Trottier was a part of seven Stanley Cup winners overall, including two more as a player with the Pittsburgh Penguins from 1991-92 and one as an assistant coach with the Colorado Avalanche in 2001. He was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1997 after an illustrious 18-year career and currently serves as the Executive Director of Player Development for the Islanders.

About Peter & Chris Ferraro: Recently retired professional hockey players Peter and Chris Ferraro have teamed up with Milano and ventured off the ice into the business side of the game. The Ferraro brothers have played hockey for a combined 60+ years, winning an NCAA title with the University of Maine together in 1993. In fact, they also became the first set of identical twins to play for the same NHL team with the New York Rangers during the 1995-96 season. Peter had previously made the 1994 U.S. Olympic team before embarking on a 15-year pro career that included stints with the NHL's Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals. Meanwhile, Chris also enjoyed a 15-year pro career after making the '94 Olympic team, including stops with the Rangers, Penguins, Capitals, New York Islanders and Edmonton Oilers. The brothers reunited again, the last two years with the ECHL's Las Vegas Wranglers. Playing amongst some of the all-time greats in Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Jaromir Jagr, Brian Leetch, Ray Bourque, Ron Francis and Adam Oates, the Ferraro brothers got the opportunity to compete at the highest level. Despite retiring as pro players, the duo's passion for the game remains stronger than ever, as they run hockey camps across the country and continue to support the family business Plaza Surf and Sports, located in Long Island, New York for 40 years. The Ferraro Brothers are now looking forward to beginning a new career together in sports event management, marketing and promotions with the formation of InterSports.
