/24-7PressRelease/ -- Manasquan, often known for its small town feel and great place to raise a family, will join hundreds of cities across America in a nationwide celebration of family volunteering. On November 22nd Blossom, a local organization whose mission is to empower youth through volunteering while providing services to children in need, will host their second annual Family Volunteer Day event at the Manasquan Elementary School. The day is set aside as a symbol of the volunteer movement that is bringing families of many sizes and definitions together to strengthen America and their communities.
All area families are encouraged to participate in this event by coming out and spending a few hours helping Blossom create five hundred Care Packs for children entering the state foster care system. Local adoptive and foster care parents will speak about their own experiences and information will be on hand to those interested in learning more about becoming a foster care parent. The event will promote family volunteering, provide for children in foster care, and raise awareness of the current need throughout New Jersey for caring and safe foster families.
This Family Volunteer Day event will be held on Saturday, November 22nd at Manasquan Elementary School located at 168 Broad Street in Manasquan, N.J. from 12pm to 2pm. Food will be generously provided by Applebee's of Wall Township. Volunteer opportunities are still available for this event; families are encouraged to register online at http://www.blossominternational.org. There is a $5.75 registration fee via online or $5.00 by mail.
