TORONTO, CANADA, February 06, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Intelliware Development Inc., a leader in standards-based application development, has released a free and easy-to-use online HL7 message validation tool. The tool quickly validates HL7 v3 messages for compliance with Canada Health Infoway (CHI) sponsored format standards. Developers and message modelers of HL7 v3 e-health systems can cut and paste their own Client Registry, Provider Registry, and CeRx messages into the tool and get immediate feedback on message validity and conformance with public CHI standards.

The HL7 Validation Tool is the first release of a series of modules in the Test Level 7 (TL7) e-Health Suite that will be brought to market by Intelliware. Users of the validation tool will also be able to sign up for enhanced access to the TL7 Beta Partner Program and participate in guiding future functionality of Intelliware's HL7 v3 test framework.

"The TL7 e-Health Suite will benefit any software development effort based on the HL7 v3 standard", said BC Holmes, Technical Director of e-Health at Intelliware. "It provides a test platform that can be used by non-technical staff during development that mimics a target production environment pre-launch."

The full TL7 suite, currently in beta release, makes developing or testing e-health applications faster and easier. With it, users can create registries of patients and providers, access a drug database via drug names or drug codes, find candidates, submit dispense requests, and test their own systems using valid HL7 v3 responses. Support for an even wider range of HL7 v3 messages is expected to be added in the coming weeks.
