VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, December 09, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A new, free photo-sharing app, called Reactr, not only records a person's reaction when they see a photo, but it also lets others view their response, too.
"There's nothing like seeing the look on someone's face," said Ash Gilpin, president of Eyepinch, Inc., a digital advertising agency based in Virginia Beach. "It definitely beats just getting a text back that reads "omg" or "lol." In some cases, the reaction of your friend is funnier than the original photo you sent."
Gilpin, a self-taught web developer and designer, created the app when he realized what was missing from today's photo-sharing frenzy.
"There are lots of photo-sharing apps out there. But Reactr is one of a kind. No other app captures someone's reaction and sends it back. It really adds a new dimension to sharing photos."
Available in iTunes and Google Play, the app requires users and their friends to agree to participate through invitations. Friends can choose to receive a push notification on their phone when they receive a photo. The app opens up to the picture and after one second, it automatically takes your picture. Then, it asks if you want to share your reaction with your friends.
"We always encourage people to follow legal guidelines when it comes to sexting," Gilpin. "Reactr is just a simple way to have a great laugh with your friends through social media."
Gilpin said a newer version is in the works that will allow people share video messages with their friends and receive record video reactions.
"It's a natural progression in today's photo- and video-sharing trend."
Reactr is a refreshingly photo sharing app that allows users to share moments with friends to capture their reactions. Available for free on iOS and Android.
