/24-7PressRelease/ - MILWAUKEE, WI - March 11, 2006 - Podcast hosts Liam Hughes and Corey Taratuta have seen their share of green beer and "kiss me; I'm Irish" paraphernalia, but the hosts of the Irish Fireside podcast are spending this St. Patrick's Day letting their listeners know there is an entire side of Ireland that the tour buses miss and Irish-American pubs never quite capture. Their podcast (http://www.irishfireside.com) has just been released and is available to listeners from iTunes or directly from the Irish Fireside website.

Their internet-based show explores Irish travel, Irish customs and all things Irish by providing listeners with a closer look at some of Ireland's most popular tourist attractions and suggesting some off-the-beaten-path destinations nearby. In addition to travel tips, each episode includes a recipe from their collection of "food from the fireside" and closes with an Irish song. Each show is supported by an episode guide that includes additional information, maps and related links.

"So many people think of Ireland as kissing the Blarney stone, Waterford Crystal and a lot of rolling green hills. Well...they're probably right about the rolling green hills, but there's so much more to Ireland," said Irish Fireside host Liam Hughes.

His co-host Corey Taratuta ads, "Funny thing is, we thought people would subscribe to the podcast for our tips and suggestions for out of the way places in Ireland, but more people are thanking us for adding the recipes and Irish songs. I guess that's what makes us unique."

Host Bios

Raised on scones and tea in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Liam Hughes has been traveling to Ireland since his youth. After years of visiting family in County Tipperary, he purchased a cottage "down the road" from his relatives and proceeded to spend the next twenty years converting his derelict property into the cottage of his dreams.

Now, Liam spends his summers on the Emerald Isle offering his cottage as a guesthouse and sharing his services as a tour guide. When not traveling, he creates jewelry from shards of broken and discarded china in his Milwaukee studio. You can visit Liam's cottage at http://www.knockahopple.com.

Corey Taratuta first became interested in international travel at the age of seven when his family began hosting exchange students in his hometown of Posen, Michigan. After six exchange "brothers" and "sisters" from six different countries, Corey had caught the travel bug and never even left North America.

While living in Australia, his frustration with poorly designed tour books led him to put his graphic design training to work and start creating his own walking tours and itineraries. His ten-plus years of travel to Ireland made it the natural place for him to experiment with his new passion.

In 2004, Liam and Corey teamed up to create their first itinerary packet for a client. A year later Liam shared his expertise in creating Corey's Walking Kilkenny tour, and in February 2006 the duo launched their first Irish Fireside podcast.
