/24-7PressRelease/ - Barnaul, Russia, August 29, 2008 - In 2007 Russian grain processor OJSC PAVA announced its new development strategy which will be based on advanced processing of grain. PAVA plans to construct a unique grain fractionation plant for the production of wheat gluten, starches, syrups, compound livestock feed, alcohols of different grades, wheat germ oil and CO2. The project will be based on leading-edge technological advancements, providing extraction of all valuable components out of the kernel and thus making the production process virtually wasteless - according to the "THINK OUTSIDE THE KERNEL" approach.
The leading European multinational corporations have already shown big interest to such products of advanced grain processing as starches, feed, wheat germ oil, wheat gluten and alcohols. At present, OJSC PAVA undertakes active efforts to expand the company's own cultivation areas. The above-mentioned products will be made from wheat grown in Altay, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Kemerovo regions, which is a non-genetically modified material, rich in protein. By using high-quality seeds and modern schemes of crop rotation, PAVA plans to improve yields of the arable land, and as a consequence - economic indicators of the advanced grain processing project.
Pre-engineering study of the plant which will be built in the Rebrikha district (the Altay Territory) is completed. In order to organize financing of the project PAVA has mandated the largest European bank BNP PARIBAS to act as an advisor.
