/24-7PressRelease/ -- In an environment dominated by talk of recession, economic down turn and layoffs, a group of business people have decided to take action. "Whether we are in a recession or not," said Michael Hague, CEO and President of SignMine and one of the founders of Referral Links, "the basics haven't changed. Business is still about building relationships and leveraging skills. We built our referral group - Referral Links - to bring together business people who are committed to growing through the recession."
'The whole is always greater than the sum of its parts," said Jason Ewing a broker at Coldwell Banker Triad, Realtors and another founding member, "and the organization of this group as well as the selection of its members is based upon a commitment to the common good - to being stronger as a group than we might be alone. We promote each other's best interests as though they were our own."
Referral Links, as the new organization is called, is designed to build business relations that in turn will foster the generation of referrals within the group. The group meets the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, at 7:30 AM. Referrals are based upon trust and understanding and the focus of the group is on building relationships and understanding the mechanics of referrals. Besides meeting formally with a structured agenda, members meet at least once per week individually. Meeting one on one, the group believes, builds strong relationships within the group and provides members with the opportunity to learn the details pertinent to each other's businesses. In addition, The group has several business-driven goals, including participating in various networking events in order to help expose others to the benefits of the group.
Jason Ewing and Michael Hague founded the group in April, 2009 and they are currently interviewing the group's ninth and tenth potential members.
