New Software Helps Children Survive Middle School

National Elementary School Principals Association Conference 2014 - Linxus Software Release July 10, 2014

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, May 28, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mobius Learning announced today that it will offer Linxus, a new software suite designed specifically to help students struggling in middle school. As parents and teachers recover from another long school year, it's never too early to start thinking about how to make the next year run a little more smoothly.

Mobius Learning, which creates custom eLearning solutions, developed Linxus based on the premise that in order for children to do well in their core classes, they must be able to study well, be organized enough to find their homework when they need it, and get to class on time.

Linxus is comprised of four courses: Academic Organization, Time Management, Study Skills, and Social Citizenship.

Academic Organization provides strategies to help students keep their binders, backpacks, and lockers organized. It also offers effective ways to manage their assignments online and in their daily planners.

Time Management helps students understand time and how to use it effectively. Students are taught the four types of time traps, the importance of prioritizing, and backwards planning among other topics.

Study Skills offers students strategies for setting goals, active reading, taking notes, and studying for tests.

Social Citizenship teaches students the social skills for succeeding in middle school. Students learn how to communicate effectively, problem solve, manage stress, build character and ten essential character traits, how to deal with bullies and peer pressure, and cyber safety.

Linxus was crafted by instructional designers, software engineers, and graphic developers who combined the latest studies on child development with the cutting-edge instructional design methodologies and multimedia principles to create an immersive learning environment that helps students develop skills that will last a lifetime.

Linxus features the latest gameplay mechanics to engage learners, on screen characters to help users connect to the content, comprehensive assessments to help teachers compare results, and interactive quizzes and strategies to help students easily retain and recall information.

"We are really excited, because Linxus is really unique in the industry, explains Co-CEO Ed Cross. Parents and teachers can buy a lot of software developed for middle school students that focuses on specific subject matter like Math or English. What Linxus provides is everything else that students' need to be able to do well in those subjects."

Mobius Learning will unveil Linxus July 10th at the Elementary School Principles Conference & Exposition in Nashville, Tenn. The software will be available online at a suggested retail price of $4.99 per student.
