Amsety is the first company in the US to address this enormous unmet need, based on extensive scientific research with a team of liver health specialists.
CARLSBAD, CA, May 24, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Amsety LLC, a new healthcare nutrition start-up, recently conducted a survey among physicians and liver health experts asking them to rank the importance of factors influencing liver health. According to survey results, 93% of liver experts consider nutrition "very important" or "important". Exercise ranked second, followed by abstinence from alcohol, and regular medical check-ups. Lastly, only 66% of physicians considered medication one of the most important factors.
Liver disease is a growing problem worldwide and it affects over 30-million people in the US alone, with related deaths increasing by 30% within the last decade. People suffering from diabetes, obesity, celiac disease, alcohol-use disorder, hepatitis, along with other medical conditions increase the risk of developing liver disease. Every year, as this group ages, they run the risk of developing complications, and seek comprehensive disease management solutions. The rise of liver disease creates a number of problems for American citizens and the US health care system in a time when the healthcare system is being challenged.
With nutrition established as the principal factor affecting liver health, it is noted that dietary restrictions for patients with liver conditions can be complex and difficult to follow.

In addition to nutrition bars, Amsety plans to introduce other dietary products to assist patients with liver conditions, while focusing its business on direct-to-consumer channels.
