New Vortex Flow Transmitters Ideal for Use in Heat Exchange Systems

    HUDSON, MA, August 10, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Clark Solutions introduces theDN420 Series of Vortex Flow Transmitters. DN420 Series Vortex Flow Transmitters are an economical choice for liquid media flow and temperature monitoring and control in applications such as heat exchange systems, cooling loops, and industrial processing applications utilizing 1/4" to 3/4" piping systems. Model DN420 Vortex Flow Transmitters feature direct temperature measurement, excellent media resistance, and minimal pressure loss. In addition, Model DN420 Vortex Flow Transmitters are insensitive to temperature fluctuations or debris in media.

DN420 Vortex Flow Transmitters are loop powered and utilize piezoelectric sensors embedded in an ETFE vane located downstream of the bluff to detect the generated vortices. Each DN420 model is provided with a frequency/pulse output, a linear 4-20 mA output proportional to flow, and an integral 1000 Ohm RTD temperature sensor for measuring the liquid temperature. DN420 Transmitters are suitable for water & water glycol based systems. DN420 Vortex Flow Transmitters are designed for flow ranges from 0.24 to 39.6 GPM (0.9 ... 150 LPM) and temperature ranges of 40°F to +302°F (-40 to _ +150 °C).

With flow rate accuracies of less than 1% of reading for flow values 50-100% of full scale and 2% of full scale for lower readings, DN420 Flow Transmitters are an exceptional value costing under $300 in quantity.
