PERTHSHIRE, SCOTLAND, July 18, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- For many happy campers and holiday makers out there June is the month when summer really kicks off and after the particularly bad winter this year, many will be looking to make the most of their summer holidays. With this in mind, Wigwam Holidays set off down to the sunny Northumbrian coast where they delivered eight brand new wigwams to Pot-a-Doodle do Wigwam Village.

Pot-a-Doodle Do site owners John and Christine Whiteford first found out about Wigwam Holidays some years ago in Scotland whilst walking along the famous West Highland Way with some friends. 'Our friends were staying at the Wigwam Village at Strathfillan whereas we had already booked a B&B' explains Christine, 'when we saw the wigwams we thought that they were just such a great idea and we are very pleased to now have some of our own'. John and Christine saw delivery of their first wigwam cabins back in 2005 and have since proved so popular with guests that this year they decided to expand their site increasing their total from twelve to twenty wigwams .

John and Christine are both very happy with their new wigwams saying that 'they are just lovely. They look great and the new cabins even feature some new little improvements'. One feature that has proved especially popular is the velux window which opens to allow plenty of ventilation inside the wigwams on warm summer's nights. They are also a little more spacious with Christine saying that 'they look very very nice inside and it's also great that they are environmentally friendly'.

The eight new wigwams all look out to sea and have fantastic views over the Northumbrian coastline and since opening just a few weeks ago most of the cabins have already been let. Pot-a-Doodle Do Wigwam Village has lots to offer besides fantastic accommodation. On site there is a restaurant which now provides breakfast between 9-10.30 am on top of evening meals. So far, this is proving to be very popular indeed. 'A lot of family groups come here on holiday' explains Christine, 'so we thought it would be a good idea to start providing breakfast on site so that our guests can enjoy a relaxing breakfast to set them up for the day without having to worry about making food and coffee first thing in the morning. If the adults are happy and relaxed then generally the children are too.' Of course, it's not just families who can enjoy a hearty meal in the morning and already it is a big hit with many guests who visit Pot-a-Doodle Do, 'it's really nice in the mornings' says Christine, 'there's a real buzz about the place'.

Christine and John have been more than happy with the service they received from Wigwam Holidays saying that they were both 'friendly and efficient'. 'We were extremely pleased with the service first time round and this time we were just as satisfied' states Christine. With the eight new wigwams John and Christine hope to encourage more groups, families and organisations to come and stay at Pot-a-Doodle Do. They are already a very busy campsite being full nearly all the time at weekends and holidays along with some mid-week bookings at other times.

Not only is there plenty to do on-site at Pot-a-Doodle Do, there is also a huge array of attractions close by. The site itself is just up from the beach which is wonderful for children and adults alike. Pot-a-Doodle Do is only a 20 minutes drive from Holy Island which is a very popular attraction as is Bamburgh Castle. Harry Potter fans will be excited to hear that Alnwick Castle, which has featured in two of the films, is also close by.

Wigwam camping cabins are the real deal when it come to all year round camping. They are truly a four season accommodation which means that sites like Pot-a-Doodle Do, can and do, stay open pretty much all year round. 'We are always full on New Year's Eve' says Christine. 'The only time we close is on New Year's Day itself for about a month and then re-open in February and it's non-stop from there!'
