New York Client Solutions Predict TV Advertising Reached a Tipping Point

The roll-out of digital video recorders enabling TV viewers to skip Ads has left Television Networks in a revenue bind. New York Client Solutions foresee US Corporate Brands shifting advertising budgets into direct marketing.
    NEW YORK, NY, December 18, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- New York Client Solutions believe up to 20% of marketing budgets assigned to TV Advertising will move to direct marketing, highlighting the complete lack of attention paid to TV ads due to the rise in multi-screening.

According to Marketing Charts few B2B marketers rate TV as an effective medium for reaching customers and prospects. Consumers appear to be watching TV ads out of passivity, and many would like their TV viewing future to be free of ads.

Additionally, research has shown that TV ads don't spur many shoppers to try new retailers; they are middle of the pack as an influence on household shoppers; and while they contribute to mobile purchases, they have less of an impact than online content for driving mobile commerce, per an Interpret report, reported by MobileMarketer.

Currently 23% of all viewing consists of previously recorded shows (38% of young-adult prime-time viewing), where adverts are cut out completely or regularly skipped through altogether. New York Client Solutions suggest as this generation of TV viewer's age, pre-recorded shows will become the norm, leaving TV advertisers struggling to justify their spending.
