Newhall Coffee Goes Viral - Invites Coffee Neophytes And Connoisseurs To Participate In Web Discussion

Despite the economy, coffee lovers still crave a good cup of coffee. Newhall Coffee Company says forget the $4 coffee on the corner. Learn to brew a great cup of java at home and save money. Talk about it at http://www.twitter.com/newhallcoffee.

NEWHALL, CA, April 21, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Newhall Coffee Roasting Company (Newhall Coffee), a micro roasting company specializing in distinctive blends, has embarked on a new Internet marketing program that appeals to both new coffee drinkers and established coffee lovers, it was today announced by founder and CEO Mitch McMullen.

The combined Web 2.0 tools Newhall is employing - Twitter (www.twitter.com/newhallcoffee), Facebook, blogs, podcasts, online advertising and a newly-designed, interactive Web site (http:/www.newhallcoffee.com) launching today, Tuesday, April 20, 2009 - will connect with coffee enthusiasts by providing them with an open platform to be educated about coffee and to communicate their preferences, ideas, tips and recipes.

"As we examined ways to improve and expand our business," says McMullen, "we concluded that because the consumer is in the driver's seat in terms of sales, their opinion about the product should weigh in as well. Thus, we developed the new Internet program to open the dialog."

"Essentially, we are asking consumers to participate in how we market, produce, inform, and communicate going forward," says McMullen. "As the ultimate end users, consumers play a significant role in helping Newhall Coffee to be a better company - one that is engaged with our customers; one that provides the best product available at the best possible price."

Besides building rapport with customers, Newhall will deliver educational themes and offer samples as a means of stimulating honest dialog among users who, they hope, will feel compelled to share their opinions, good or bad, with others. "We're confident about the quality of our products," says McMullen. "We believe we can provide current and new customers with novel ideas about coffee and how it influences their lives on a daily basis. We are open to new ideas, too, and hope participants will feel free to share their thoughts with us."

Home brewing enthusiasts will find an enriching menu of brewing techniques, food pairing suggestions and tips that will greatly increase their enjoyment.

"No matter what the economy looks like, coffee is a staple in our society," says McMullen. By challenging current coffee standards and providing education to help consumers understand quality and the many options of home brewing, as opposed to spending precious dollars at expensive coffee purveyors, McMullen believes consumers will come to appreciate the value of what a great cup of home brewed coffee tastes like - especially as opposed to the canned varieties available in most supermarkets - at a very comparable price. "It's all open for discussion," he adds.

About Newhall Coffee
Newhall Coffee Roasting Company, http://www.newhallcoffee.com, headquartered in Newhall, California, was initially founded in 1994 by Mitch McMullen to supply his coffee houses with better product than he was getting from his suppliers. Within months he realized there was a growing local demand for better coffee and he expanded to meet this need. Today, Newhall Coffee is considered to be one of the premiere coffees on the West Coast. Each of the 85 varieties the company offers is micro-roasted to preserve and control the quality that only can be achieved by roasting in small batches.
