BURNABY, BC, CANADA, April 4, 2007 - The Newport Beach Police Department has gone live with the InTime Scheduling Engine (ISE). ISE is InTime's next generation scheduling and deployment solution built specifically for law enforcement. This implementation is the first of a planned multi-agency project to include all 24 law enforcement agencies within Orange County California.
"In keeping with our Countywide Integrated Law & Justice Agency's commitment to utilize the most effective software solution available, we were pleased to work with InTime to deliver this new product based upon its superior technology, ease of use and flexibility, and look forward to the Countywide deployment of the System, which is now in progress," commented Bob McDonell, Newport Beach Police Chief and Chairman of the Integrated Law & Justice Agency of Orange County (ILJAOC). The Agency is a Joint Powers Authority representing all cities in Orange County, California with Municipal Police Departments, the Superior Court of Orange County, along with the Police Department serving the Irvine Campus of the University of California.
According to Captain John Desmond, "We have a good working relationship with InTime that goes back several years. They have always been interested in our needs and input and have been willing to incorporate many of our suggestions into the current ISE product. Using ISE, we can configure the program quickly and easily ourselves, as our operation changes and grows."
Built on an enterprise-class IT infrastructure, ISE has proven to be reliable and scalable for large Public Safety deployments. For the Newport Beach Police Department, ISE replaces an earlier generation of InTime's software used for scheduling both sworn and non-sworn staff. In addition to significant technology and automation enhancements, InTime will provide integration to the Court system enabling a more efficient court scheduling process.
