WESTLAKE, OH, November 23, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nicholas Ballistrea, Charge Nurse at University Hospitals, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of nursing.

Mr. Ballistrea specializes in advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support. As charge nurse for University Hospitals, he is responsible for managing the urgent care center, triaging patients, caring for CVC and EKG patients, and precepting new staff. He entered the medical field because of the inspiration he received from his father, who was a nuclear medical technician supervisor, and his mother, who was an X-ray technician. He attributes his success to his learning skills and to the support he receives from his parents and wife, Jodie.

A graduate of Cuyahoga Community College, Mr. Ballistrea received his Associate's Degree in Nursing in 2006. He is a trustee of the Christian Assembly. He aspires to become a nurse manager or a supervisor.
