Global exhibition and display company, Nimlok, welcomed the City & Guilds film crew to its state of the art head offices in January to help them promote their Million extra apprenticeship campaign.

LEEDS, ENGLAND, February 22, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Global exhibition and display company, Nimlok, welcomed the City & Guilds film crew to its state of the art head offices in January to help them promote their Million extra apprenticeship campaign. City & Guilds approached Nimlok to tell their story and help promote the many benefits of utilizing apprenticeships in the workplace, helping them kick start Apprenticeship week from 6th-10th February.

At the forefront of forward thinking exhibition stand design and with a reputation built on reliability and excellence, Nimlok aim to deliver innovative and cost effective exhibition stands worldwide.

Nimlok have had nine apprentices in the last three years, seven of which are still with the organisation and through working with City & Guilds and their training providers the company has seen great results and successes. It has been particularly important working with City & Guilds, the market leader for qualifications as Nimlok are the market leader in exhibition displays themselves and the return on investment results have been hugely advantageous with committed, quality staff now working within the Nimlok team.

City & Guilds is the biggest name in UK vocational education, with over two million learners working towards one of their many qualifications every year, so Nimlok were delighted and honored that they were asked to be part of such an important film to promote their Million Extra campaign.

Million Extra aims to drive more employers together with training centres and learners to realize the benefits of apprenticeships. By summer 2013 they aim to achieve one million apprenticeships and through working with organisations such as Nimlok they can achieve success.

Filming took place in late January and saw a film crew following the day to day working environment at the Nimlok head office based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The film shows highlights of the state of the art production facility with everything from design, welding, carpentry and sewing on show. Some of the sites apprentices also got the opportunity to talk on camera about their experiences; Andrew Charlton from welding and fabrication, Laura Hart, Customer Services within Marler Haley and Layla Flack, marketing assistant were asked various questions regarding apprenticeships right from the beginning all the way through to the final stages of the course.

Diane Walton, HR manager from Nimlok said that, "Apprenticeships really do offer us a fantastic way to introduce moldable talent into our workforce. As a Company we are definitely looking to expand the number of apprenticeships we offer - we are keen to keep building on the success we have had as our employees gain skills, experience and nationally recognised qualifications and we benefit from a talented and knowledgeable workforce who are proud of their achievements."
