PROVIDENCE, RI, April 18, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nonna Kazanskaya, Artist, Sculptor, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of visual arts.

A self-described admirer of beauty in all forms, Ms. Kazanskaya embarked on a career as a professional artist 40 years ago. Since then, she has used her considerable talents to capture nature and the world around her through portraits, sculptures and paintings. Ms. Kazanskaya, in the course of her long career, has earned prestigious commissions across the United States and in her native Russia, foremost of which are a WWII memorial and the Winter Garden in the Kremlin. Honored with a Gold Medal in 2004 by the Russian Academy of Arts and with an Honorary Award by the Fallen Heroes Memorial, she attributes her success to her love for beauty and her ability to express her fascination through beautiful works of art.

Ms. Kazanskaya received her Master of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the Moscow Institute of Art and Design. She is a member of the New Haven Paint & Clay Club, the Association of Russian Artists in Paris, the Moscow Artist's Union and the Moscow Sculpture Association. In her spare time, Ms. Kazanskaya volunteers with the Art League of Rhode Island and the Rhode Island School of Design. She also offers private art lessons.
