Nonprofit Groups Announce the World's Largest Pillow Fight
Northeast Wisconsin nonprofit groups team up to host The World's Largest Pillow Fight. The event is expected to attract over 3,500 people.

    /24-7PressRelease.com/ - Appleton, WI - May 2, 2005 - Matt's House and The Boys and Girls Brigade of Neenah, WI are pleased to announce The World's Largest Pillow Fight at 7 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2005 at the YouthFutures' Valley Fair Mall in Appleton. The event will feature a pillow fight per Guinness World Record guidelines and is expected to draw more than 3,500 people. The official previous record, set in 2004 in Dodgeville, WI, drew 2,774 people.

Appleton Mayor Tim Hanna, Neenah Mayor George Scherck and Menasha Mayor Joseph Laux will be kicking off the pillow fight. Live DJ music will be provided by Chuck Townes of Rock the Flock. Tickets are $2 in advance and $3 at the fight site. Proceeds will benefit Matt's House and the Boys and Girls Brigade. Matt's House is a faith-based, nonprofit organization in Appleton, WI that promotes unity among churches and encourages youth to connect with God, each other and caring adults. Matt's House hosts a variety of programs including the area's only indoor paintball field and regular dodgeball tournaments. Matt's House is establishing its presence as the anchor tenant in the former Kohl's Department store at the YouthFutures' Valley Fair in Appleton, WI.

The Boys and Girls Brigade is a nonprofit organization that serves over 900 youth throughout the Fox Valley area with over 350 volunteers. The Brigade aims to build leaders in youth through weekly leadership programs in Neenah, WI and an annual summer camp, Onaway Island, in Waupaca, Wisconsin.
