Nonprofit Volunteers Receive Community Awards

Long-time supporters honored by local news stations.



    DENVER, CO, April 21, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- 7News Denver is recognizing two Family Promise volunteers for their support of our mission, while 9News recently honored another volunteer for her dedication to the nonprofit.

7News gave Mike and Kathy Dano the 7Everyday Heroes award for their coordination of Family Promise volunteers, resources and shelter within their faith community, Lakewood United Methodist Church. Both volunteers have been pivotal service leaders for more than five years.

9News also recognized Betti Krapfl as a 9 Who Care award winner last fall. Betti helped launch the Family Promise affiliate in Denver more than 18 years ago: See her story: http://www.9news.com/news/24653453
