Norfolk Law Firm Kalfus & Nachman Teaming up with "5 to Drive"

    NORFOLK, VA, October 20, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Teen Driver Safety Week is October 19-25 and the Norfolk accident lawyers of Kalfus & Nachman are teaming up with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on the "5 to Drive" campaign. The goal of the campaign is to encourage the parents of teen drivers to always set rules before their teen hits the road and give parents tips on how to approach safe driving discussions.

The "5 to Drive" campaign was launched in 2013 during Teen Driver Safety Week. It addresses the five most dangerous and deadly behaviors for teen drivers. Detailed information and statistics about the five rules can be found here: www.safercar.gov/parents

"Most parents only associate cell phones with distracted driving," said Norfolk accident attorney Paul Hernandez. "There are a host of items in the car that distract teens including radio, GPS, passengers, adjusting items on the Dashboard, etc. We help injured drivers every day and the most devastating is when a young life is shattered."

Hernandez is an advocate to end distracted driving. He speaks to young audiences in local Virginia Beach high schools, encouraging them to take "Simple Steps We Can Take for Safer Driving" pledge on behalf of the Casey Anderson Feldman Foundation to End Distracted Driving.
