/24-7PressRelease/ -- North Country Dental gave new smiles for Christmas to children suffering from cleft palate and other facial deformities. The NCD staff donated $250 to Operation Smile instead of swapping gifts at the office this past year. The donation was matched by "Operation Smile" to cover two surgeries.
Operation Smile is a worldwide children's medical charity whose network of global volunteers are dedicated to helping improve the health and lives of children and young adults. It is headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia. Since its founding, Operation Smile volunteers have treated more than 130,000 children born with cleft lips, cleft palates and other facial deformities and has a presence in 51 countries. The hygienists, assistants, doctors, and office staff of NCD are no strangers to giving their time and considerable energy to making the world a better place, starting at home in New Hampshire's North Country. Enthusiastic participants in both local and world community events, they consistently provide donations each year to benefit a variety of worthwhile causes, such as The American Cancer Society's Relay for Life event and, most recently, a fashion show featuring cancer survivors as models and guest speakers.
