/24-7PressRelease/ -- In just five years OMEGA Processing has hit the milestone of $100,000 in youth sports sponsorships. The northern Kentucky point of sale organization supports a total of twelve local youth teams: four basketball, four baseball, two bowling and two soccer teams. OMEGA finances student athletics each year as part of its community outreach program.
The philanthropy program increases annually as the company grows, with OMEGA upping the sponsorship dollars and number of teams involved in the program.
OMEGA's president Todd McHugh says the sports teams give employees something to rally behind outside of the office place. "Most importantly, sports provide leadership opportunities, increase confidence and involve the communities surrounding each team," McHugh said. "This is our way of giving back to the communities in which we work and live. Although it's a small impact, I think anything we can do to positively impact youth and give them something to look forward to is a step in the right direction."
Earlier this June, OMEGA hosted two youth baseball teams at the Florence Freedom Stadium. The event marks the first time the company has hosted its teams in such a large venue and demonstrates OMEGA's commitment to increasing its sponsorship each year.
"Part of being a successful business is giving back locally," OMEGA CEO Scott Anderson said. "We are fortunate that we can provide this level of sponsorship and impact more and more youth. Being able to affect people positively and give back has always been a part of the OMEGA corporate culture."
