"It's been almost five years since we first launched our Online Backup service, and today we receive a really impressive amount of subscriptions every month," said Alexander Prichalov, head of Novosoft's development department. "But since it was always provided as a separate service, Handy Backup needed to put additional efforts to use it. Now we decided to integrate them more thoroughly, by adding all options of management and control into the program."
A typical online backup service consists of two parts: a client software that is installed on a customer's computer, and a data center at the service provider's site. Most important benefits of storing backups remotely include worldwide accessibility, protection from local disasters of any kind, and getting rid of the necessity to label backups and maintain storage conditions.
"We are also planning to revise a pricing strategy of the service, and open new options, so we can meet needs of the widest range of users," added Mr. Prichalov. "We understand the demand for online backup services, and we'll do our best to come up with a solution that will bring customer experience and efficiency to a new level. The release of Handy Backup 6.8 is planned for the end of July."
