Brian Sondey, President and CEO of TAL International, will offer an in-depth look at the opportunities and challenges in the portable storage industry during the National Portable Storage Association's 6th Annual Conference and Exposition at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas from October 26-28. TAL International is one of the world's largest lessors of intermodal containers and one of the largest sellers of containers into the portable storage market.
"We chose Brian to offer the keynote address at our annual conference because he has keen insights into the portable storage industry," said John Finnessy, CMP, Executive Director of the National Portable Storage Association, or NPSA, a nonprofit membership association dedicated to the advancement of the portable storage industry. "Brian is not only experienced in the portable storage industry, he also has a strong business and economics background that uniquely positions him to address the trends, the challenges and the opportunities in containerized storage today."
Sondey joined TAL's former parent, Transamerica Corporation, in April 1996 as Director of Corporate Development. He then joined TAL International Container Corporation in November 1998 as Senior Vice President of Business Development. In September 1999, TAL appointed Sondey to serve as TAL International's President.
Prior to his work with Transamerica Corporation and TAL International Corporation, Sondey worked as a Management Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and as a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate at J.P. Morgan. Sondey holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA degree in Economics from Amherst College.
