Built upon modern web service technologies, OfficeStatus provides electronic employee status tracking and visibility over an organization's LAN, WAN, or the Internet without the need for additional firewall configuration.
The client component of the OfficeStatus solution uses "auto-sensing" technology to optionally deduce employee status based upon workstation activity, while running unobtrusively in the user's system notification tray. Staff members can explicitly change their status with a click of a mouse button, and can configure the software to notify them when the status of another user changes. User status history and staff telephone directory reports are integrated directly into the client software.
This new release provides support for 64-bit Server and Client components, as well as adding support for Windows Server 2008 and SQL Server 2008. We've also improved our product installation process, including new support for MSI client deployment via Windows Active Directory.
OfficeStatus Server installs on Windows Server 2000, 2003, and 2008 - while the client component is supported on any Microsoft desktop operating system from Windows 98 up.
