We are looking forward to better serving our clients north of the border
MARIETTA, OH, December 18, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Mole-Master(tm) Services Corporation and Canada-based Drummond Equipment, Inc., have signed an unprecedented agreement giving Drummond distribution rights to Mole-Master's industry-leading silo and bin cleaning equipment.
"Drummond's commitment to providing equipment and services to industrial and mining clients makes them a great fit for our products and services," said company General Manager Dave Laing.
The companies first met when Drummond Equipment sought to rent a piece of silo cleaning equipment from Mole-Master.
"During our initial training session, it became apparent that our companies were built upon very similar business philosophies," Laing said. "We immediately met to discuss the possibility of working together to serve the Canadian market."
The result of those meetings was a November 28, 2014, agreement, through which Drummond Equipment:
- Has exclusive rights to sell Mole-Master's silo and bin cleaning equipment throughout eastern Canada
- Can provide silo and bin cleaning services using Mole-Master's non-proprietary, Junior 360(tm) and Arch-Master(tm) silo cleaning equipment
- Has non-exclusive rights to provide equipment and cleaning services in western Canada
While Mole-Master gains a privately owned, stable partner with 40+ years of experience in Canada, Drummond Equipment also will benefit from the arrangement, said Colin Penfold, president of the Mississauga-based company.
"We're equally excited about the opportunity," he said, citing Mole-Master's expertise, knowledge and equipment as major advantages of the Marietta-based company.
"They have a tremendous amount of experience in silo cleaning, and Mole-Master's equipment provides a level of effectiveness and efficiency that nobody else in Canada can offer," Penfold said.
The agreement will allow Drummond Equipment, which has about eight years of bin cleaning experience, to provide a wider range of services to its existing customers and to attract new clients, he said.
The partnership is already paying off, according to Penfold. Drummond Equipment has sold two Mole-Master units and has begun a new bin cleaning project for an existing customer using the Ohio company's equipment.
"We are looking forward to better serving our clients north of the border by having Drummond on board," Laing said.
