Pittsburgh Hotel has won the AAA's Four-Diamond Award, the second-highest designation in the organization's rating system.
AAA Four-Diamond Award winners are a select group; for 2008, only 3.2 percent of the 60,000 AAA Diamond-Rated lodgings and restaurants received the prestigious designation.

Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh has received the Four-Diamond designation for seven consecutive years, confirmed by Andrew HeLal, General Manager.
Barbara McMahon, Vice President of Operations, Sage Hospitality Resources and former General Manager of the hotel, said that because hotels in North America are surveyed annually by a full-time staff of professional evaluators, with the emphasis on amenities and service in an exceptionally competitive market, maintaining the award designation is of particular significance and one in which she takes great pride.

HeLal and McMahon accepted the award from Jim Lehman, Senior Vice President of Travel and Member Services, AAA and Bevi Powell, Director of Communications, AAA, in a ceremony held at the hotel on June 26.
