SAN FRANCISCO, CA, May 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- OpenLogic, Inc., a provider of enterprise open source software support and governance solutions for CentOS and hundreds of other open source packages, today announced it will partner with GroundWork to provide CentOS support for the GroundWork Monitor Enterprise Quickstart Virtual Appliance based on CentOS.

OpenLogic first announced CentOS support in December, 2009.

"OpenLogic provides partners such as GWOS enterprise-grade CentOS support as well as support on 500 other open source projects. In this case, OpenLogic's SLA CentOS support helps GWOS provide its customers an enterprise-ready monitoring virtual appliance based on CentOS," said Kim Weins, senior vice president of marketing at OpenLogic. "Our unique cost-effective support model enables companies to get commercial support for open source software while still maintaining the significant cost advantages."

"The CentOS Linux platform is extremely popular with small and medium-sized GWOS users, accounting for 46 percent of our installations," says Simon Bennett, senior director of product management at GWOS. "This solution enables pragmatic CentOS users to expand their monitoring capabilities with the knowledge that the combined GWOS and OpenLogic support teams are available to cover the complete software stack."
