    CLEARWATER, FL, November 13, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The roots of Optimus go deep, encompassing efforts of more than thirty years which continues today, to bring the best possible (Optimus means"the best" in Latin) lens choices to the independent optometrist. Let me take a moment to explain how I came to Optimus.
After several years working in the Health Care field, I became chronically ill. As the years passed, I came to love physicians and their unique experience in life, their hearts, and their sacrifice for us all as patients. My last hospitalization I lay there and vowed to myself that if I ever got better and was able to work again, that I would find a way to help them in their lives, help them achieve what they deserve.
That decision took me from a career path in the arts into a new world as a consultant. I helped doctors in many areas of health care, such as Surgeons, Dentists, Podiatrists and Optometrists.

While working with Eye Care Providers I was continually frustrated by the limited opportunity they have for true profitability. I felt that this had everything to do with the limitations resulting from being dependent on the labs to produce the lenses they needed for their patients. If only they took on the edging function, I could see that this would make a huge difference. I could also see that there was great need for a premium lens product at excellent prices.
It was about that time that I ran across Optimus. I as actually hired as a consultant to assist in the process of opening up the markets in the western hemisphere. What happened instead, I got very excited about this company and what it was trying to do to help the independent optometrist. I could see that by solving the problem of lenses, that this company was opening the door for more and more optometrists to explore the possibility of doing in-office edging. I became more and more interested in the company. Apparently, the company was also more and more interested in me. After a short while working with Optimus as a client, I was offered the position of Chief Operating Officer, as well as the role of official spokesperson for the company.
It has been my duty and privilege to move this company forward so that it takes its rightful position as manufacturer of some of the best lenses you will find on the market anywhere. Today, as Optimus gets closer and closer to its official launch at Vision Expo East, the innovations continue to be released.
I am proud to be part of this very forward looking company. I am excited about what we are able to accomplish for independent optometrists to put more profits into their own pockets, not someone else's.
Optimus High Definition Optics is dedicated to the proposition that all lenses are Not created equal and that all men - women and children - have the inalienable right to own lenses and eyewear that are almost like not wearing lenses at all! And to that I will add that the mission of Optimus is to put these high definition lenses on the faces of 10s of thousands of patients to the benefit of the ECPs who have come to trust the Optimus line.
