How it Works

Oscillot consists of a series of four-bladed aluminium paddles, which are mounted along fence lines between end posts containing bearings.

When a cat tries to jump and scale the fence, they place a paw on the paddle, which then spins. The cat cannot get traction and falls safely back to the ground.

What it's Made of

The Paddle, made from high quality aluminum, is professionally powder-coated to ensure strength and durability;
The Dual Knuckle Post Kit is made from acetal, a very durable plastic that is able to withstand weather extremes
The Bracket aids in the effectiveness of the Oscillot System by bringing the paddles away from the fence a few centimetres.

Brackets are required for installations on the following fence types:

Post and Rail Fencing with a horizontal rail within 400mm of the top of the fence (a cat may use the rail as a 'ladder' to get up and over the system if there is no brackets)
Vertical Paling Timber Fencing (a cat may sink their claws into the wood & climb up & over the system if there is no brackets)
Horizontal Paling Timber Fencing (a cat may sink their claws into the wood & climb up & over the system if there is no brackets)
Brush Fencing (a cat may climb up the brush, using it as a 'ladder' to get up and over the system if there is no brackets)
All components that make up Oscillot are manufactured in Australia from high quality Australian materials.

Will it Work With Your Fence?

Oscillot is most well suited to metal and galvanized fences, post and rail fences, timber and wooden fences, as well as masonry fences.

it is generally not effective on tubular and wrought iron fences where spacing between the vertical bars allows an easy escape for a cat.

For Oscillot to be effective, we strongly recommend that it is only installed to fences with a minimum height of 6 feet. This is the height at which the system has been tested and proven to be effective. For fence heights lower than 6 feet, the concern is that a cat could scale up the fence whilst still maintaining enough composure and accuracy to place a paw under or over the top of the Paddles and get enough of a grip on the fence to scurry over.

Your fence will need to be in relatively good condition for Oscillot to be installed.
