2006 Miami-Dade Head Start/Early Head Start "Teacher of the Year," Mr. James has five years of professional experience with The Community Action Agency, a nonprofit organization offering social services, including education. As a teacher, he is charged with caring for children aged between two months and three years old, and ensuring that early childhood education is provided in low-income communities. He was recognized with a national CDA in 2007.

Mr. James received his Bachelor of Science in Education from The City University of New York in 1999 and is affiliated with the alumni association of the university. He counts United Way among his favorite charities.
