/24-7PressRelease/ -- A leading outsourcing specialist today announced it had won the prestigious contract to become the sole recruitment provider for a GBP600M project. The Sherwood Group, which specialises in outsourced recruitment solutions, will assist Kier North Tyneside following the construction company's successful bid to repair and maintain 16,000 homes owned by North Tyneside Council.
The ten-year recruitment contract, which commences with immediate effect, is one of the largest ever undertaken by Sheffield-based Sherwood and will see the company provide a broad range of skilled and manual workers to undertake the massive construction and maintenance requirement. All workers will be sourced through the company's extensive network of approved personnel.
Sherwood, which also has offices in London and Leeds, won the contract based on its proven track record of providing innovative outsourced solutions, with the company already working with Kier across multiple sites in the UK.
The win follows a successful 12 months for Sherwood, with ex-United Industries Chairman Nicholas Jeffrey being appointed as non-executive Director, along with a number of high profile contract wins.
