/24-7PressRelease/ -- The employees of Page 1 Solutions just finished their second annual Thanksgiving food drive for the Jeffco Action Center. With donations from their employees and the local community, they managed to collect close to one ton of non-perishable food and personal care items.
The
Jeffco Action Center (JAC) was established in 1968 and the organization provides food, household items, counseling and education to residents in need in Jefferson County. Their goal is to give their clients the items they need now, while helping them learn skills to become self-sufficient in the future.
"Page 1 has been supporting JAC for the last several years and I was very excited to organize the second annual food drive," said Jessica Espinoza, Page 1's Marketing Administrator. "Last year's food drive was such a success that I knew we could make an even greater impact this year. I am so proud of the team here and their willingness to donate items to those in need."
In addition to the annual food drive,
Page 1 continually collects donations of gently used items, such as clothing, small appliances, house wares and more, for the JAC. Their annual Casino Night, coming up on December 3rd, 2010, also raises money for the organization. This event marked the 40th trip that Page 1 has made to the organization, donating food, clothes and other supplies throughout the year.
