The Fender Strat, painted with the festival's logo and an abstract depiction of the Muscatatuck River, was part of a fundraiser for the Friends of the Muscatatuck River during the May 10, 2008, festival.
"We are very pleased Painted Axe could assist the Friends of the Muscatatuck River and its efforts to preserve the river," said Michael Gauf, founder and owner of Painted Axe." The Muscatatuck River Music Festival (MRMF) provided an eclectic mix of concertgoers, vendors and performers. In all, it was a wonderful experience for us and one we hope to continue."
Indeed, the success of the MRMF project and the ongoing interest by others is very encouraging, according to Gauf. "We are getting the word out to other festivals, concert tours and special events of all musical genres and anticipate a very active and exciting summer and all season."
