Pair of Rolling Eggs Now Parked at DFW Elite Car Club.com

Newly Arrived BMW Isetta Coupe and Rare Isetta Convertible Spell Grade A Fun For Metroplex Microcar Enthusiasts

/24-7PressRelease/ - DALLAS, TX, June 19, 2007 - Nicknamed the rolling eggs for their small size and rounded shape, vintage BMW Isettas are now available to DFW Elite Car Club.com members. Members who love microcars, classics, and BMWs may wish to step back in time and drive something certain to produce smiles and new friends.

The club garage is now home to a rare white 1959 Isetta convertible and a classic red 1959 Isetta. "I can't help smiling when I drive an Isetta," says DFW Elite Car Club owner Ron Sturgeon. "They're absolutely a blast, and people will definitely notice and stop you to ask about an Isetta."

"If you're looking for attention, renting an Isetta will definitely get you some," says Metroplex resident and recent Isetta driver Christina A. "The car is immaculate and we had a great time cruising the neighborhood on Saturday morning."

"Sitcom watchers during the 1990s might be more familiar with the Isetta as the tiny car driven by uber geek Steve Urkel on Family Matters," says Club Director Kevin Bailey. "But these bubble cars have definitely become cool for collectors."

"Of the 8500 Isettas BMW imported into the U.S, only about 1000 are left," reports Fort Worth entrepreneur and car club founder Ron Sturgeon. "We were very fortunate to find two in such pristine condition." Top condition BMW Isettas sell for about $15,000 and an Isetta convertible like one in the car club garage would easily auction for $25,000 because they are so rare.

Vintage microcar enthusiasts may already know the story of the BMW Isetta. In the lean years following WWII, few Germans could afford the sedans BMW was making. BMW executive choose to license and redesign a tiny Italian microcar. That redesigned car, the BMW Isetta, became a huge success and outsold the more costly BMWs of its day ten to one.

Those reserving an Isetta for the first time should plan to come 30 minutes early so that a DFW Elite Car Club.com representative can share some tips and tricks for mastering the controls.

"Even our most hard boiled members won't be able to resist cracking a smile behind the wheel of these delicious rolling eggs," says Car Club Director Kevin Bailey.
