Papa John's Tops Customer Satisfaction Again

The pizza chain Papa John's continues to be popular with customers as it has topped a national survey for customer satisfaction for the seventh year in a row.
    /24-7PressRelease/ - DUBLIN, IRELAND, June 09, 2006 - The pizza chain Papa John's continues to be popular with customers as it has topped a national survey for customer satisfaction for the seventh year in a row.

Consumers rated the food franchiser based in Louisville, Kentucky, number one among all quick service restaurant chains in the widely followed American Customer Satisfaction Index.

It managed to once again defeat pizza rivals Pizza Hut and Domino's and other major restaurant companies such as McDonalds, Burger King, Kentucky Fried Chicken and survey newcomer Starbucks.

As well as achieving the highest overall customer satisfaction score, Papa John's was rated first in the individual categories of product quality, service quality, perceived overall quality and customer expectations.

Papa John's president and chief executive officer Nigel Travis said: "We thank consumers for this distinction and we thank our franchise and corporate teams in the field for continuing to uphold our 'Better Ingredients, Better Pizza' brand promise.

"A satisfied customer is a loyal customer and loyal customers are critical to the success of our business."

John Schnatter, Papa John's founder and executive chairman, added that satisfying customers with the product and service provided is essential for developing a major global business.

"We have a fundamental belief that if you serve a superior-quality pizza with excellent service and value, consumers will recognise the difference and reward you with repeat business," he said.

The company has been in operation for 22 years and it takes a traditional approach to its pizzas, with the crust of every pizza made with fresh dough and only fresh-packed tomato sauce (not concentrate) made from vine-ripened tomatoes is used.

It has been very successful and there are a number of franchises worldwide. As of May 21st 2006, there were 2,942 Papa John's restaurants (511 company-owned and 2,431 franchised) operating in 49 states and 23 countries.

To attract more customers this summer, Papa John's has teamed up with Coca-Cola to provide a 100 Days of Sizzlin' Summer promotion.

By registering on the company's website, this scheme offers customers the chance to win a range of prizes including cars, big screen televisions, airline travel, grill sets and gift cards for major clothing stores through the online sweepstakes game.

Every time they play, customers will receive promotional codes for major savings on Papa John's products and Coca-Cola drinks available in stores.

In addition, Papa John's has introduced two new pizzas, Sizzlin' Steak and Sizzlin' Chicken Fajita, which are available at reduced prices during this period.
