The fresh seafood restaurant will have an entirely refocused online presence, with the interactive, user-friendly Web site, creating a learning experience and bringing Pappadeaux closer to home for Guests.
Visitors to the Web site will find detailed pages for each Pappadeaux location, including the Chicago area's two locations, in Westmont and Arlington Heights. Each location's page features a photo of the location's general manager, downloadable menus, weekly specials, online ordering, information on booking private parties, and more. The pages also have detailed descriptions of the restaurant's private banquet rooms, with rates, capacity and contact information provided.
The site features new graphics and interactive sections, including the French Quarter Flavors section, playfully highlighting tips and quick facts about Pappadeaux. The "Cajun Translator" provides the meaning of such Cajun slang as "boude" (to pout), "coo-yn" (foolish), and "tooloulou" (fiddler crab). Also within French Quarter Flavors are tips on how to eat lobster, crawfish and oysters, accompanied by graphics to help the reader. "Cookin' from the Bayou" describes classic Cajun dishes, include Andouille, etoufee, roux and gumbo.
"Pappadeaux hopes to make a splash with our new online presence, featuring colorfully-designed graphics and extensive information, presented in an interactive, user-friendly way," says Lisa Beckman, marketing director for Pappas Restaurants, which owns and operates the 34 Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchens nationwide. "We hope to reach our Guests directly and give them the ability to view menus, book private rooms, and much more, right at their fingertips."
Creating an interactive, positive experience for Guests was crucial for the Pappadeaux team in the redesign of the site. "We hope to provide a learning experience with our Web site, along with a convenience factor," Beckman says. "Guests can purchase gift cards online, and even print out job applications. This is our way of thanking our dedicated Guests."
