/24-7PressRelease/ - DUBLIN, IRELAND - January 23, 2008 - ParallelGraphics, the proven leader in 3D visual Knowledge software to global equipment manufacturers (OEMs), today announced the release of version 1.2 of it¡¦s Arbortext Plug in. This simple and intuitive integration provides a highly efficient method of authoring next generation technical documentation with integrated 3D visualisations. End users can finally experience after sales materia¡§This plug-in enables anyone who has invested in Arbortext XML authoring to increase their return on investment by gaining from the efficiencies enabled by leveraging 3D graphics directly from their company¡¦s CAD. Empowering the author or subject matter expert to have complete control over both the text and associated illustrations leads to savings in both time and cost of over 50%, better quality and improved customer satisfaction.¡¨ said Connell Gallagher, President, ParallelGraphics.

Integration Highlights
„X ParallelGraphics¡¦ Cortona3D RapidManual software automatically converts 3D design data into ready to use three dimensional models, thus eliminating the traditional process of re-creating illustrations which accelerates production of documentation.
„X With no 3D experience, an author can easily create simulations of technical procedures on the fly.
„X The shift from static 2D to interactive 3D improves the quality of the information produced as well as enabling efficient generation of updates and revisions.
„X Providing customers with cutting-edge documentation, as advanced as the products, adds value to customer support operations including lower cost of maintenance, enhanced technical training and more. Users can observe step-by-step simulated procedures and interact with 3D figures by rotating, zooming and examining from any angle.

Easy Authoring Process
In the integrated production environment, the author has direct access from Arbortext editor to optimised graphics imported from CAD data (Cortona3D RapidManual supports all major systems). Authors can view and interact with the figure in the 3D window, as well as rapidly create 3D animations, from a library of predefined simplified English animation actions. The finished project including relevant automatically generated text is integrated into the XML tool, from which the user can launch the 3D animation and follow it step by step, or interact with it, zooming in or out, rotating, pausing etc..

ParallelGraphics is the proven leader in the provision of 3D visual knowledge software to global OEMs with an unequaled track record of continuous product improvement.
