Pardee Homes Holiday Giving Program Benefits Three San Diego Organizations

The BIA Cares Holiday Bike Drive was one of the three organizations that Pardee Homes helped this season through their annual holiday giving campaign with the donation of 10 bicycles and helmets that were presented to underprivileged children.

SAN DIEGO, CA, December 24, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- As it has since 2002, Pardee Homes is making the season a bit warmer and jollier with its Holiday Giving campaign, which the home builder dedicates to the temporarily homeless, families in crises, physically or mentally challenged children, and others in need. In each of the company's homebuilding regions, employees decide where to put the campaign's available dollars. Many add their own money, along with generous donations of after-hours time. In its San Diego region, recipients in the 2014 campaign in San Diego include children, homeless young mothers, and injured and disabled military heroes.

"Community giving is a core value of Pardee Homes, and while it happens all year, Holiday Giving holds a special place," said Beth Fischer, division president for Pardee Homes' San Diego region. "Lending a hand is especially significant this time of year, and is tremendously rewarding for all of us at Pardee Homes."

Pardee's San Diego division has donated 10 bicycles and helmets to be presented to underprivileged children through the BIA Cares Holiday Bike Drive, an annual Building Industry Association fundraiser. The San Diego division has also donated money to HomeAid San Diego Home Start Maternity Shelter #3 and Thrift Store which was completed this December. Pardee's remaining holiday giving funds will go to the Warrior Foundation - Freedom Station for San Diego veterans that have been medically retired to help them as they transition back to civilian life. The support center opened in May 2011.

"The holiday giving program has become a bright spot in the corporate culture of the company, allowing employees to celebrate the spirit of the season and the company's on going commitment to supporting the communities in which we build," added Fischer. "The giving spirit is alive and well all year at Pardee Homes, but during the holidays, our efforts have special meaning knowing we are helping several organizations."

Recipients of the 2014 campaign in the Inland Empire include teens currently living at Olive Crest Inland Community Children's Ranch in Perris. The Inland Empire division chose to help the Olive Crest Children's Ranch with a number of special gifts and surprises for 24 at-risk teens.
In the Los Angeles/Ventura County area, Camarillo's RAIN Transitional Living Center (RAIN TLC), was the recipient of gifts for the children and adult residents, and a $2,000 donation to the facility through the Pardee Holiday Giving Program.
