PAAO is launching a Governor's Campaign as part of Parental Alienation Awareness Day in the hopes of getting as many governors as possible to issue Proclamations declaring April 25th as Parental Alienation Awareness Day. "We hope to get Parental Alienation recognized on a state-wide level," states Robin Denison, co-founder of Parental Alienation Awareness Organization.

Alienating behaviors are those harmful behaviors, done by a third party, that interfere with the relationship between a child and a loving parent. They may include: denigrating a parent in front of the child, interfering with communication and visitation, and sharing inappropriate information, such as details of the marriage, with the child.

Parental Alienation Awareness Organization has prepared brochures and flyers and suggested they be distributed to school personnel, youth leaders, clergy, Scout leaders, coaches, judges, family law attorneys, legislators, and media.

"Changes can and do happen," says Sarvy Emo, co-founder of Parental Alienation Awareness Organization, "but first, the behaviors common to parental alienation and hostile aggressive parenting must be recognized".

PAAO is urging everyone to participate, in some way, to commemorate April 25th, Parental Alienation Awareness Day, and the right of every child to give and receive all of the love they deserve.
