Pascal Granger, Ph.D., Presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award by Marquis Who's Who

A recognized distinguished professor at the Universite de Lille in Villeneuve d'Ascq, France, Dr. Granger teaches various chemistry courses and has also been the coordinator of the research group on unit catalysis and solid chemistry for the past 13 years. First hired by the university as an interim assistant professor in 1993, he quickly established himself as an assistant professor, then full professor by 2003, and distinguished professor by 2015. Dr. Granger joined the faculty just one year after completing a Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry at the Universite de Poitiers in 1992. He also holds a Master of Science in chemistry and a Diplome d'etudes approfondies in applied chemistry from the same university in 1987 and 1989, respectively. He later completed postdoctoral work and a Habilitation in Physical Chemistry at the Universite de Lille in 2002.

Dr. Granger was a member of the steering committee for the International Associated Laboratories between CNRS and Sapporo University from 2013 to 2016, and formerly served as Scientific Director of the International Associated Laboratory CATSEC, National Chemical Laboratory, in Pune, India, from 2009 to 2016. He created a new International Associated Laboratory MATSUCAT in 2017 under the auspices of the CNRS. He also served in various other capacities, including as a correspondent with PHC Volubilis at the Universite de Poitiers, member of the scientific committee for the International Research Group for Catalysis for Environment, Depollution, Energy and Renewable Fuels, as a project lead for PHC Brancusi at the University of Bucharest in Romania, as correspondent for the University of Lille in several competitive European projects (FP7 and H2020), as member of the advisory board of several international congresses, especially the prestigious Capoc meeting conference and the 11th European Congress in Catalysis held in Lyon (2010) and as a member of the International Research Group, ECSAW.

Conducting an extensive amount of research during his tenure, Dr. Granger is proud to have been able to contribute over 125 articles to peer reviewed journals and write and edit a number of book chapters. He is currently on the editorial board of "Green and Environmental Chemistry," "The Scientific World Journal" and the "Journal of Catalysts," and he remains active with several professional societies, including the DIVCAT-SCF section of the International Association of Catalysis Societies and the catalysis division of the Societe Chimique de France.

The recipient of a Lecture Prize from the catalysis division of the Societe Chimique de France in 2012, a First Class Award from the National Council of the Universities in 2010, and a Prize for Innovative Techniques in the Environment from Airplus for 2000-2001, Dr. Granger also received a Guest Professorship at Sichuan University in 2009. He has been highlighted in the seventh and eighth editions of Who's Who in Science and Engineering.
