Patricia Ann Suggs, PSA-MP, Named a Lifetime Achiever by Marquis Who's Who

An accomplished listee, Mrs. Suggs celebrates many years' experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. Mrs. Suggs is an American artist who was born in Reedley, California, in 1936, as a third generation California who has spent her entire career doing what she does best - art. A very talented and creative artist of her time who specializes in pastels, she has participated in numerous one-woman shows, including at Group 21 in Los Gatos, California, the Los Gatos Museums of Art, Great Western Savings and Loan in Fremont, California, and the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museums in San Jose, California, as well as group juried exhibitions for the Lone Star Pastel Society in Texas. She has won 2003 Best Floral at The Butler Institution of American Art, 1980 Best Floral, and 1993 Best Pastel Plaque with the Pastel Society of America, as well as 2007 Best Floral with the Degas Pastel Society. In 2006, Mrs. Suggs was presented with the Holy Cow Award, and in 2011 she won a Terry Ludwig Award. She has also been featured in numerous private collections throughout her career. Mrs. Suggs served as a judge of fine arts for several county fairs, as well as at the Arts Club and The Peninsula, in both Northern California and San Joaquim Valley, and has taught various workshops in both California and New Mexico.

Mrs. Suggs has been part of many organizations over the past 40 years. She served on the advisory board of the Pastel Society West Coast, as well as director for an exhibition for Allied Artists West and treasurer for 19 years with the International Association of Pastel Society, which honored her with a Master Circle Award and Gold Medallion in 2005. She is a member of the National League of American Pen Women, which awarded her with a Grumbacher Award in 1993, and served for 12 years on the board of trustees and as chairman for the Society of Western Artists. Mrs. Suggs is also a member of Gallery 24 in Los Gatos, and currently serves on the advisory council of the International Association of Pastel Societies, with convention of 600 artists held annually in Albuquerque.

Mrs. Suggs has been acknowledged with numerous additional awards, including a 2014 Floral Genre Award, a 2015 Carson Award, and a 2015 Master Panelist honor at the National Art Club in New York, all from the Pastel Society of America. She was a student of the Leighton Fine Art Academy in San Francisco from 1974 to 1981, imparting her with old world training. Mrs. Suggs has been married to Robert Reed Suggs since 1961 and has one son: Richard William. For her contributions to the art world, she has been named to Who's Who in America five times, Who's Who in the West twice, and Who's Who of American Women twice.
