LOS ANGELES, CA, March 29, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Paul Delhauer, Investigator, Criminal Investigative Analyst and Reconstruction Expert for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in law enforcement.

A 26-year veteran of public service and safety, Paul Delhauer specializes in investigating violent crimes and analyzing crime scenes and criminal behavior. He recently marked his first decade with the Homicide Bureau of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department. In the multiple capacities of investigator, profiler and court-qualified crime scene reconstruction expert, Mr. Delhauer is responsible for conducting crime scene and injury analyses, completing research and development of reconstruction experiments, developing demonstrative evidence, and writing technical reports.

A widely acknowledged expert in his field, Mr. Delhauer also consults on various cases, conducts classes through the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training, and provides expert testimony for the LASD and outside law enforcement agencies. He attributes his success and longevity to hard work and the guidance that he received from his mentors.

Mr. Delhauer earned his Bachelor's Degree in Communications in 1977 from Ramapo College and an independent study certification in death investigation in 1994 from the Los Angeles County Department of the Coroner. Additionally, he holds a certification in criminal investigative analysis, multiple advanced officer training certificates, and certifications in bloodstain pattern analysis and crime scene reconstruction from the Department of Justice's California Institute of Criminalistics. His professional affiliations include the California Homicide Investigators Association and the International Criminal Investigative Analysis Fellowship. In five years, Mr. Delhauer hopes to retire from the LASD while continuing his involvement in teaching and consulting.
