/24-7PressRelease/ - Parma, OH, June 22, 2008, Paul P. Salyards, Intervention Specialist at North Royalton High School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of education.
With a specialization in teaching language arts for students with learning disabilities, Mr. Salyards is responsible for teaching life skills and communicative effectiveness to students, monitoring students' progress and accommodating instructions and assessments. He became involved in his profession because he was inspired by his teachers and developed a passion for teaching and attributes his success to the support he receives from his parents. He has written a teacher work sample on the assessment of understanding and assessing children's learning needs.
A 2007 recipient of the Excellence in Student Teaching Award from Cleveland State University, Mr. Salyards graduated cum laude from the university with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Administration. He also holds a certification in language arts and is affiliated with the Council for Exceptional Children. Mr. Salyards volunteers with the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the March of Dimes Foundation and the Cancer Research Institute. He feels that helping children realize the importance of education is the most important issue facing his profession today. He stays current with the trends in his profession by attending professional development seminars and workshops.
