Pauline Zwiers Inducted into Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Human Resources Management

    HAMILTON, ONTARIO, CANADA, February 21, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pauline Zwiers, Senior Director of Human Resources for Conestoga Meat Packers Ltd and Co-Owner of Garden Source Greenhouses, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in HR management.

In her dual roles as a human resources professional and entrepreneur, Ms. Zwiers focuses on building partnerships, strategic planning and implementation of practical solutions to reach desired objectives. As part of her recently acquired position as part of the Executive Team at Conestoga Meat Packers Ltd and in her previous role with Loblaws Inc. where she worked for 16 years, she has planned and implemented numerous programs aligned with and in support of organizational and financial goals. As a Senior Director of Human Resources for Conestoga Meat Packers Ltd, she reports to the President and her responsibilities include strategic planning and overseeing all HR functions for the business. In her previous role she was responsible for nearly 100 Extra Foods and Real Canadian Superstore locations in Ontario, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. In both roles talent management, employee relations, building and executing training programs and maintaining legislative compliance are also prominent among her many duties. Ms. Zwiers has supervised up to 27 employees in the HR department.

Ms. Zwiers also works with her husband Mike manging Garden Source Greenhouses, a wholesale floral greenhouse operation which has been in business for 12 years. They focus on supplying mixed hanging baskets and planters of their original design to retail outlets in Southern Ontario. The pair has substantially grown their customer base through referrals and a reputation for outstanding quality and customer service. Maintaining a balance in both her capacities is key for Ms. Zwiers, who is committed to entrepreneurship, ongoing personal and professional development and achieving results.

Ms. Zwiers received a Master of Industrial Relations from the University of Toronto in 1994 and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the same institution two years prior. She is a member of the Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario, which regulates the HR profession and completed the Loblaw High Potential Leadership Development program at the Schulich School of Business Executive Education Centre in 2011. As she looks toward the future, Ms. Zwiers would like to continue to build business partnerships and gain additional exposure for Garden Source Greenhouses.
