Penmac Offers Businesses Opportunity to Test and Screen Employees

Penmac's SmartFit tests and assessments better enable businesses to more effectively and efficiently hire, retain and develop qualified workers.

Regional Vice President Cindy Hedgpeth says Penmac has a multitude of services that benefit clerical and industrial positions, many of which are available online. Penmac also offers verifications and screenings which include reference checks, drug screenings, criminal background checks, education history checks, social security verification and customized orientations.

"The tests range from math, problem-solving and typing to dexterity and mechanical aptitude," says Hedgpeth. "The tests really allow you to verify a candidate's capabilities."

Hedgpeth says properly screening and testing a candidate's ability saves a company in a multitude of ways.

"Matching the right person for the open position makes all the difference in the world," says Hedgpeth. "Not only will it increase productiveness for a company, but saves money. A wrong hire can cost a company 15% of the base salary for the position."

SmartFit tests and assessments are available to companies who do not use Penmac for hiring employees.

"These tests are available to any business that would like to be able to assess the skills of potential hires," Hedgpeth said.
